Silver Creek Elementary kindergarten teacher Kacie Krneta was recognized at the December 16 school board meeting for receiving the Lamar Award of Excellence from the Azle Masonic Lodge. 💚 The Lamar Award of Excellence is awarded to students and educators by Texas Masonic lodges in their communities in recognition of outstanding personal achievement in academics, citizenship, community service, or sports. This prestigious award was named in honor of Mirabeau B. Lamar who was known as the “Father of Texas Education” for his work that resulted in the first law mandating public education. Congrats, Ms. Krneta! 👏 #WeAreAzle #HornetPride
