π We celebrate advanced academics in public schools! π
πStudents are prepared for college and can place out of college credits through AP courses and testing.
βοΈ Courses are designed to provide students with more rigorous, in-depth, and accelerated learning experiences, often tailored for high-achieving or gifted students.
πThe goal is to challenge students academically, encourage critical thinking, and prepare them for college and career success.
ππΌ With dual credit courses, students can dive into college-level coursework early. They gain college credit hours, giving them a head start on college life.
ππ That's a lot to celebrate! #CelebrateTexasPublicSchools

πβ¨The holidays are a time for reflection and celebration. πβ¨
π In public education, our mission is clear: educate every child. We build strong communities. π€ We create brighter futures. π And we do it together with our families. β€οΈ We're grateful. #CelebrateTexasPublicSchools

On Tuesday, December 17, Azle ISD and Tarleton State University welcomed nine new teacher residents to our district! Each of our teacher residents will begin in January 2025 and will be paired with cooperating teachers at Cross Timbers, Eagle Heights, Hilltop, and Silver Creek Elementary Schools. ππ
They will begin their year-long residency with their cooperating teachers in January and complete the program in December 2025 to become certified teachers. π Letβs give them all a big Azle ISD welcome!

Silver Creek Elementary kindergarten teacher Kacie Krneta was recognized at the December 16 school board meeting for receiving the Lamar Award of Excellence from the Azle Masonic Lodge. π
The Lamar Award of Excellence is awarded to students and educators by Texas Masonic lodges in their communities in recognition of outstanding personal achievement in academics, citizenship, community service, or sports. This prestigious award was named in honor of Mirabeau B. Lamar who was known as the βFather of Texas Educationβ for his work that resulted in the first law mandating public education.
Congrats, Ms. Krneta! π #WeAreAzle #HornetPride
