Azle ISD

Azle ISD is excited to welcome Tony Smart as the district's new Director of Technology. He will take over the technology department from David Oestreicher, who is retiring in June.

Mr. Smart comes to Azle from Bridgeport ISD, where he has served as the Director of Technology since 2022. He has more than 20 years of experience in the technology field. 

Smart earned a Master of Science degree in Information Technology Management and a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from Western Governors University and holds various certifications.

He and his wife Marchelle reside in Bridgeport with their children and family pets.

“Mr. Smart’s strong background in technology network management and systems engineering, combined with a proven commitment to efficient work order management, will continue to enhance our ability to provide technology support to students and staff,” said Superintendent Todd Smith.
