Azle ISD

The Azle ISD 2026-2027 Academic Calendar was approved by the board of trustees on Monday, December 15, 2025.

The first day of classes for students will be Wednesday, August 12, 2026. The first semester will be from August 12 to December 17, 2026, and the second semester will be from January 5 to May 20, 2027.

Student and staff holidays are September 7, October 12, November 23-27, December 21-January 1, January 18, February 15, and March 15-19. The last day of school is an early release day on May 20, 2027.

School start times have been adjusted by 10 minutes for the 2026-2027 school year, with elementary campuses starting at 7:35 a.m. and secondary campuses starting at 8:20 a.m.

The key at the bottom of the calendar provides details regarding additional student holidays, parent/teacher conference days, teacher work days, staff development days, staff flex days, nine-week grading periods, and school start and dismissal times.

Thank you to our District Leadership Team (DLT) for their work creating calendar options for Azle ISD staff to vote on. The DLT includes representatives from each campus, parent representatives, and community/business representatives.
