Azle ISD is excited that construction on our 2023 bond projects is on budget and on schedule to be open for the 2026-2027 school year.
As previously communicated, our grade-level configurations will change at the elementary and junior high levels starting next year. All eight of our elementary campuses will serve grades Pre-K-5, and our junior high campuses will serve students in grades 6-8.
The grade-level reconfiguration will require changes to our elementary attendance zones. Several factors are considered in attendance zone adjustments, including feedback from the parent ThoughtExchange survey received during the bond planning process, and our goal is to design attendance zones that meet current enrollment needs, account for future growth, and address the educational needs of our students and community.
We have been working with our district demographers to evaluate and examine options for attendance zone adjustments to balance enrollment across campuses, and we will be hosting a community meeting to share the proposed changes on December 1.
We invite parents and guardians to attend the community meeting to learn about the proposed changes and understand the rationale behind them.
Meeting Details:
Date: Monday, December 1, 2025
Time: 6:30 PM
Location: Azle ISD Administration Building (300 Roe St., Azle, TX 76020)
If you cannot attend the meeting, you can find information on the proposed changes on our website once the meeting has been held. We are still evaluating additional educational services such as specific special education, pre-kindergarten, and bi-lingual programs.
Proposed attendance zones for 2026-2027 will be presented for Azle ISD Board of Trustees approval at the December 15 school board meeting.
