The Azle High School Student Council was recognized at the August 18 school board meeting for being the number one school for blood donations in the Carter BloodCare service area during the 2024-2025 school year. Carter BloodCare presented AHS with a $3,000 grant at the meeting.
Azle High School hosted four blood drives throughout the school year and collected 501 blood donations.
AHS was one of only three high schools to receive the highest grant award from Carter BloodCare for donating 451 units or more.
