On August 15, the Texas Education Agency (TEA) released the 2024 and 2025 Accountability Ratings for all Texas school districts and campuses. These ratings are based on student performance data from the 2023–2024 and 2024–2025 school years, including STAAR/EOC results, graduation rates, and college, career, and military readiness (CCMR) outcomes.

Ratings are one of many ways to determine how well your child’s school is preparing your child for the next grade level and success after high school in comparison to students in other Texas school districts. Teachers and schools also use rating information to improve practices and instructional approaches for the new school year and beyond.

Under the state’s A–F Accountability Ratings System, three domains are evaluated: Student Achievement or Relative Performance, School Progress, and Closing the Gaps.

Our Overall District Rating is a C, with a score of 78. In addition to the letter grades for each campus and the district, the accountability ratings system awards Distinction Designations to campuses based on performance in comparison to a group of similar campuses across the state. Designations reflect outstanding performance in specific areas such as Postsecondary Readiness, Academic Growth, or Student Achievement in Reading/Language Arts, Math, Science, or Social Studies. Azle ISD was awarded a total of seven TEA Distinction Designations in 2025.

In Azle ISD, we value accountability, transparency, and a shared commitment to the success of our students. We believe education is more than a single score on a single test. The A-F system does not tell the entire story of our students’ individual accomplishments that happen every day in classrooms across our district.

Our goal is to continuously improve the education of our students, and we remain committed to our mission of “Making a difference to every child, every chance, every day.” We are committed to your child’s academic success and will continue to work on improving our District's accountability rating.

Parents can view the district rating, individual campus ratings, distinction designations, and more at TXschools.gov.
