Celebrations took place across the district during the final week of the 2024-25 school year. Azle ISD employees with longevity in the district were awarded service pins, and retirees were presented with a plaque and a rocking chair.
2024-25 Heart of Azle award recipients, District Teachers of the Year, Retirees, and Campus Teachers of the Year were celebrated with a special luncheon at the Administration Building on Tuesday, May 20.
Adela Lee from Eagle Heights Elementary was named the 2024-25 District Elementary Teacher of the Year, and Rachel Bevan from Azle High School was named the District Secondary Teacher of the Year. They each received a $1,000 continuing education grant and a check for $500 from the Azle Education Foundation, as well as a check for $250 from EECU! Congratulations to our 2023-24 District Teachers of the Year!
All campus teachers of the year received a $500 check from the Azle Education Foundation.
Four Azle ISD employees were honored with the Heart of Azle award for exemplary customer service. Each Heart of Azle recipient received an award from the district and a $50 gift card from EECU.
