Azle High School senior Katalina Brunetti has been recognized as a finalist in the prestigious National Merit Scholarship Program. Katalina is one of 15,000 students nationwide who has advanced to this level in the competition.

As a finalist, she is now eligible to be selected as a National Merit scholarship winner. Merit Scholar designees are selected on the basis of their skills, accomplishments, and potential for success in rigorous college studies.

Finalists have to have been previously named as a semifinalist and then were selected based on their exceptional academic record, participation in school and community activities, demonstrated leadership abilities, employment, and honors and awards received. Finalists must have an outstanding academic record throughout high school, be endorsed and recommended by a high school official, and write an essay.

2025 National Merit Scholarship winners will be announced beginning in April.

Congratulations on this amazing achievement, Katalina!
