Azle High School junior Annika Birkeland recently published an article in the AHS campus newspaper, “The Sting” featuring senior Cheyenne Vickers who joined the U.S. Army and participated in boot camp over the summer to prepare for her enlistment.

Birkeland’s story, 'Atten-Hut!' Student Graduates from Army Boot Camp Before Senior Year’, was selected for a “Best of SNO” award and to be featured on the Student News Organization (SNO) Sites’ website.

SNO Sites is the website that hosts the school’s digital school newspaper. They take submissions from schools across the country, but only feature roughly 10% of submitted articles.
