Azle ISD Board of Trustees

Board members are elected by citizens of the district to represent the community's commitment to a strong educational program for Azle ISD students. They are elected by place and serve three-year terms without compensation.

Our Board works diligently to establish programs and procedures which will best help all students achieve at their highest potential. The Board functions openly and seeks the involvement and contributions of the public, students, and staff. Communication from our school community is extremely important and feedback is welcomed.
See Policy BED(LOCAL) for public participation at board meetings.

The Board meets on the third Monday of each month at 6 p.m. at the Administration Building. Special meetings may be called when necessary. A written notice of regular and special meetings will be posted at the Azle ISD Administration Building at least 72 hours before the scheduled meeting time. The written notice will show the date, time, place, and subjects of each meeting. In emergencies, a meeting may be held with one-hour notice.

All meetings are open to the public. In certain circumstances, Texas law permits the Board to go into a closed session for such things as discussing prospective gifts or donations, real-property acquisition, certain personnel matters, security matters, student discipline, or consulting with attorneys regarding pending litigation.
