🏗️ Engineering in action! Our third graders put on their scientist hats this week to investigate which materials build the tallest, strongest towers. Using index cards, tape, glue, and paperclips, they tested, measured, and discovered what makes structures stable. So much hands-on learning happening at Cross Timbers Elementary! 💡📐
Post 2 of 2; We wanted to include more pictures!

Students participate in 2 Spark Clubs prior to spending time with their mentor. These clubs have a broad range of interest including cooking, golf, engineering, art, money, and more. Academy 4 day is a highlight at Cross Timbers for our 4th graders!

Did you miss the PTO Popsicle Social last night? We missed you! 🍦 The Bookfair is still open through Friday — stop by to pick up birthday presents, Christmas gifts, or new books for nightly reading. 📚✨

Did someone say Academy 4 Spark Clubs? These memories are only beginning and will last a lifetime.

4th grade students had some hands on fun, as they made observations while decomposing elements of a solution to determine the colors that combine to create black ink. Curiosity and collaboration were on full display!

The bookfair is ready to fill your shelves with books. Shopping times are 7:30-10am and 2-4pm . You can shop tonight with your family during the Popsicle Social from 5:00-6:00pm.

Mrs. Witt certainly knows how to make learning music fun! Check out these smiles!

Did someone say Team Barbie or Team Camo? These kids supported the high school spirit with confidence and creativity!

Cross Timbers loves having Officer Gonzalez on campus! Students light up whenever they see him, from playground check ins to hallway visits, Officer Gonzalez brings kindness, calm, and community spirit to every corner of our school. Thank you for keeping our students safe while making learning more fun!

Our first Academy 4 of this school year was a success! Each child participates in 2 Spark Clubs to kick off this exciting leadership experience. Here are a few pictures of our Spark Clubs.

It takes many volunteers to prepare for and make Academy 4 successful each month. We are incredibly grateful for each and everyone of them. The work you do behind the scenes in addition to mentoring our students, leading clubs, and pouring into our children's futures is important to us at Cross Timbers! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Today we honored and remembered on 9/11 with kindness, respect, and unity. Our students dressed thoughtfully to show support and reflect on the importance of coming together as a community. These young faces remind us of hope, compassion, and how small acts — like wearing meaningful colors or symbols — can help teach big lessons.

🐰📚 Ready to meet a bunny with big listening ears? Meet Buddy — the curious little rabbit who discovers how important it is to really listen. In "Listen, Buddy" kids learn that using our ears helps us understand friends, stay safe, and feel cared for. 🌟

What a joyful recess! ☀️ Our kindergarteners showed off big smiles, kind play, and sharing during recess time today. From swinging to building teamwork on the playground, these moments remind us how important play is for learning and growth. ❤️

Sparkly hands + glitter + a hands-on lesson about germs = unforgettable learning! Students explored how germs spread using glitter as a "germ" to see the importance of handwashing.

Weekend vibes powered by Cross Timbers smiles and AHS Spirit! Thank you AHS Cheer and Rowdy's for spending Friday morning with us!

Mr. Schmitt's class used blocks, a truck, and an egg to learn the importance of seatbelts...at the eggs expense. This hand on safety demo made an impression these students will remember.
