On Friday, March 1, five students from Azle High Schoolβs AP Calculus AB class competed at the University of Texas at Arlingtonβs 22nd annual Calculus Bowl. The Hornets earned the Most Spirited Award by dressing up as PI-rates and achieved a 16th-place ranking. The AHS Indoor Drumline placed 1st at the NTCA Burleson show, beating out stiff competition, and scoring over 80 points! This is the first time in nearly a decade that the indoor drumline has broken the 80-point mark at the first contest. Way to go, Hornets! πΆπ#WeAreAzle #HornetsInAction #HornetPride

Azle Varsity Winter Guard took 2nd place in their first Winter Guard International (WGI) Regional Competition in Dallas. The winter guard program has not qualified for finals at this regional since 2018.
44 color guards across the DFW competed in preliminary competition and only 20 qualified for finals. This is the most competitive color guard contest in the country up to this point of the season. Competition will continue to get steeper as they progress through the rest of the WGI World Championships Track.
Azle Winter Guard won first place in Equipment and General Effect Captions.
