Alexia Alonso and Azucena Neri holding their third place awards.

From April 9-11, six students from the Azle High School FCCLA Culinary program traveled to Dallas to compete in the 2026 State Leadership Conference, showcasing their skills in a variety of events.

At the State competition, Azucena Neri earned third place in the Mystery Basket event, and Alexia Alonso placed third in Baking & Pastry, securing her spot to compete at the National level in Washington, D.C. this summer.

Congratulations to both students on their hard work and outstanding achievements. In addition to their awards, they each received a congratulatory gift and scholarship funds from the event to support their future culinary careers. Way to go, Hornets!
