The Azle High School Varsity and Junior Varsity Winterguards had an incredible weekend, bringing home top titles from the North Texas Colorguard Association (NTCA) Contest held at Red Oak High School on Saturday, January 31.
Both teams earned First Place in their respective classifications, making for an exciting start to their season.
The Junior Varsity Winterguard team crushed their classification and earned first place among 7 other groups, with a big 2-point lead. The Varsity Winterguard team also crushed their classification and started their season off with a grand score of 67.480!
Leading the program is Colorguard Director Victor Mooney, whose guidance and leadership helped both the Varsity and JV groups reach this milestone.
This is a testament to the student's hard work and great teaching on behalf of the color guard staff. Congratulations to these hardworking students and staff!
