Azle ISD Athletics is pleased to announce Tiffany Thayer as the new head softball coach at Azle High School.

Coach Thayer comes to Azle ISD from Frisco Liberty, where she helped lead their team to its first winning season in school history and a trip to the playoffs. She has been a teacher and coach for the past 10 years, has served as a head softball coach at the high school level as well as an interim head coach, and has worked with various sports at the middle school level. She has also been giving private softball lessons since she was in high school, which has allowed her to stay connected to the game and continue growing as a coach.

She earned a Bachelor of Science degree at Northwestern Oklahoma State University, where she played softball and was named HFCA Academic All-American. She also earned a Master’s degree in Education Administration from Lamar University.

“Softball has always been a huge passion of mine, and I’m committed to creating a competitive environment that not only pushes athletes physically but also teaches them the mental and strategic aspects of the game,” said Thayer. “My family and I feel incredibly blessed by the warm welcome we’ve already received from the Azle community, and we’re so excited for this next chapter.”
