The purpose of the Azle ISD Long Range Facilities Planning Committee (LRFPC) is to represent the Azle ISD community in studying data related to enrollment projections, housing trends, finances, instructional priorities, and facility needs. The Committee represents the voice of our community and their input is invaluable.  

The Committee is comprised of Azle ISD community members who represent various roles and campus representatives who meet regularly to evaluate data and determine immediate and future facility needs for the district due to growing student enrollment and aging facilities.

After an in-depth process of information gathering, research, and prioritization, the Committee provides feedback and recommendations to the district administration and Board of Trustees regarding priorities, timelines, and potential costs for capital improvements through bond programs while being fiscally sound for our community.

The LRFPC wrapped up their meetings for the 2021-22 school year with two final meetings at Azle Elementary School - One in May and another in June which provided a recap for members who were unable to attend the May meeting.

Several new members joined the Committee from campus PTOs and teaching staff. Each Azle ISD has a campus representative on the Committee who is a registered Azle ISD voter.

The final LRFPC meeting of 2021-22 included:

• A recap of the May 2022 Texas school district bond election results.

• An update on May and November 2021 bond projects.

• 10-year enrollment forecast and grade level configurations.

• Group discussions and a Thought Exchange.

• A tour of Azle Elementary School.
