Azle ISD has submitted its high school enrollment numbers to the University Interscholastic League (UIL) as the UIL prepares to realign schools into extracurricular competition districts for the 2022-23 and 2023-24 school years. Azle ISD submitted a “snapshot” enrollment of 2,026 high school students as of the snapshot date of October 29, 2021, which represents an increase from the number submitted to UIL in 2020 for the current alignment.UIL will review the snapshot enrollment numbers from schools across the state and release the 2022-24 reclassification and realignment on February 1, 2022. The new athletic districts will be in place for the 2022-23 and 2023-24 school years.Azle ISD will likely remain in the 5A, Division I classification based on the current classification ranges.
