Azle ISD Enrollment Expected to Exceed 8,000 Students in the Next Five Years

Despite the economic downturn caused by the pandemic, demographic reports show that homebuilders in the area are having a record year and the city of Azle has been ranked #16 in North Texas Fastest-Growing Cities by the Dallas Business Journal.

What does that mean for Azle ISD? Demographers say that by the year 2026, the district’s enrollment will be approximately 8,000 students.

There are 1,600+ future residential lots in Azle ISD and the district is forecasted to close roughly 200-250 new homes annually for the next 3-5 years.

Azle ISD works with Templeton Demographics to calculate enrollment and growth projections using an array of information including market trends, economic conditions, active and future planned developments, employment rates, and birth rates.

Based on the data Templeton Demographics collects for the district, they are able to determine a 10-year projection of growth which assists the district in planning to serve our current and future families as our district grows.

Azle ISD has been identified as a fast-growth district by the Texas Education Agency as well as the Fast Growth School Coalition based on student enrollment growth.
