Heather Chandler - Behavior and Mental Health Counselor
Heather began her career in clinical psychology at Cook Children’s Medical Center and has worked in public education for 16 years. She has been a School Counselor for 12 years and has experience in Elementary, Secondary, Special, and Alternative Education settings. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of North Texas and both of her Master’s degrees from Texas Woman’s University in Family Studies and Counseling and Development. She is working on her state licensures as a Professional Counselor and a Chemical Dependency Counselor and will begin a doctoral program in Counselor Education and Leadership later this year. She is looking forward to partnering with the staff, parents, and community agencies to bring about efforts for positive behavioral support, increased mental wellness, and school safety for the students of Azle ISD.
