2021-22 Azle ISD Employee Awards and Retirements

Celebrations took place across the district on Thursday, May 26. Azle ISD District Teachers of the Year and Heart of Azle award recipients for 2021-22 were announced, service pins were awarded to employees with longevity in the district, and retirees were presented with a plaque and rocking chair. 

Katherine Womack, Hoover Elementary 6th Grade Teacher, was named the 2021-22 District Secondary Teacher of the Year, and Charlean Roberts, Cross Timbers Elementary 3rd Grade Teacher, was named the District Elementary Teacher of the Year. Katherine and Charlean each received a $1,000 continuing education grant and a check for $500 from the Azle Education Foundation as well as a check for $250 from EECU! Congratulations to the 2021-2022 Azle ISD Teachers of the Year!

Eight employees were honored with the Heart of Azle award for exemplary customer service. Each Heart of Azle recipient received an award from the district as well as a $50 gift card from EECU.
