New Azle High School Principal Named

Azle ISD would like to welcome Nate Driver as the new principal for Azle High School. He replaces Randy Cobb, who is retiring at the end of this school year. 

Mr. Driver comes to Azle ISD from Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD where he has served as an Academic Assistant Principal at Saginaw High School.

He has served in public education for 14 years, with six years in campus administration. Driver has served as an assistant principal at both the middle and high school levels. Prior to entering administration, he taught math and coached middle school sports.

He received a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of North Texas and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from West Texas A&MNate Driver with wife, son, and two daughters standing in front of Buzzy logos University. He also serves as a board member for the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals (TASSP).

Driver and his wife, Shelby, have three children – Brady, Madelyn, and Grace. They enjoy spending time outdoors either camping or watching their kids play sports on the weekends.

“I am both humbled and honored to be appointed as the next Azle High School Principal,” said Driver. 

“I look forward to serving the Azle community and building relationships with the staff, students, and parents of Azle High School. This is an exciting opportunity and I’m ready to continue the Hornet tradition of striving for excellence.”
