Automotive Technology Student Advances to National SkillsUSA Competition

Congratulations to Azle High School freshman Austin Rickert on placing first at the State SkillsUSA Competition in Corpus Christi on March 30-April 2, 2022.Austin Rickert wearing gold medal and holding up first place plaque with Tristan Dorado

Rickert will represent Texas at the National SkillsUSA contest in Atlanta, GA, in June.

Sophomore Tristan Dorado traveled to Corpus Christi to assist Rickert at the State competition.

Automotive Technology Students Head to State SkillsUSA Competition

At the District SkillsUSA contest, Azle High School freshman Austin Rickert participated in Job Skill O, or Job Skill Demonstration Open, and repaired a fuel system where he placed second, advancing to the State contest.

Sophomore Tristan Dorado placed third in cylinder head testing for cracks and flatness before machining.
