Victoria Mann

Hi everyone! Welcome to the new school year! My name is Vickie Mann, and this is my second year as assistant principal, but I have spent my entire 20 year career in education at Silver Creek Elementary. I received both my B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies and my M. Ed. in Educational Administration from the University of North Texas. My road to becoming an assistant principal has been filled with many roles from classroom teacher to reading and math interventionist to campus instructional specialist. Each role brought new and exciting challenges that helped prepare me for the position of AP.

I have deep roots in Azle. I grew up here and graduated from AHS. Both of my parents also graduated from Azle in 1958 and 1960 as did my grandmother in 1936 when the old "rock school" was AHS. I only moved away for a couple of years, but it was long enough to make me appreicate home and my community. I'm proud to work for the town/district that "raised me" and serve my community.

When I'm not at school working, I enjoy being home with my family and spending quiet time outside. I have been married to my husband, Doug, for almost 28 years. We have two daughters, Jordan 26 and Devin 24 who is recently engaged. Of course this means that right now we are spending a lot of time wedding planning!

During your time at Silver Creek, my hope is that your child has positive experiences and feels safe and secure to spread their wings. Although this year will be different for everyone, I look forward to making it an amzing year at Silver Creek for your child and family.
