Bachelor Music Education Masters in Music Performance

Mr. Chapman

Mr. Chapman is a TCU graduate with his Bachelor's in music education and his Master's degree in music performance. He still performs as a musician in the DFW area and loves teaching at the middle school level! His main instrument is the trombone. He teaches beginner brass at Azle Elementary and the Honors band at Azle Junior High.

Mr. Chapman's accolades include; former three-time all-state musician, 6th place in a nationwide audition for the Henry Mancini Institute, selected as lead trombonist for the Curt Wilson TCU All-Star Jazz Band dating back to 1976, and Secondary teacher of the year for Azle ISD.

When Mr. Chapman is not teaching, he spends time with his wife Amber and daughter Tynlie. Amber is a kindergarten teacher in Azle ISD and Tynlie is now in second grade at Cross Timbers Elementary. They all love spending time outside, watching movies, and playing music in the backyard.
