• About Our School Board 

     
    Our school board works diligently to establish programs and procedures which will best help all students to achieve at their highest potential. Our school board functions openly and seeks the involvement and contributions of the public, students, and staff. Your communication, as a school community, is extremely important to us and we welcome your feedback.
     
    The Board of Trustees meets regularly on the third Monday of each month at 6:30 pm at the Azle ISD Administration Building. Special meetings may be called when necessary. A written notice of regular and special meetings will be posted at the Azle ISD Administration Building at least 72 hours before the scheduled meeting time. The written notice will show the date, time, place, and subjects of each meeting. In emergencies, a meeting may be held with a one-hour notice.
     
    Azle ISD Hornet Academy Graduation is scheduled for the months of February and June and is held at Azle High School Auditorium. For the months of February and June, the Azle ISD Board meeting start time will change to 7 pm. All Board meetings will be held at the Azle ISD Administration Building located at 300 Roe Street, Azle.
     
    All meetings are open to the public. In certain circumstances, Texas law permits the Board to go into a closed session for such things as discussing prospective gifts or donations, real-property acquisition, certain personnel matters, security matters, student discipline, or consulting with attorneys regarding pending litigation.
