Attendance Matters

  • Attend Today, Achieve Tomorrow!

Students receive the maximum benefit of education by being in school every day, and numerous studies show a strong link between academic performance and consistent attendance.

Students who attend school regularly are naturally exposed to more than those who are routinely absent. Furthermore, absences can quickly add up. A student who misses an average of 12 days a year from kindergarten through 12th grade will miss 156 days of school, which nearly translates to an entire year!

Azle ISD is committed to partnering with parents to ensure the success of our students. Our campus and district administrators will be proactive in providing support and resources in a way that attendance does not need to become an issue for any student or parent. A wealth of information can be found throughout this website, in our Student Handbook, and through any of our campus administrators or attendance staff.

Please do not hesitate to reach out to your child's campus for additional assistance. View Campus Directory.

Azle ISD Police Chief Darren Brockway serves as the district's truancy officer and can be reached at 817-444-3235.
