Todd Smith, M.Ed.Interim Superintendent
Mr. Smith has more than 25 years of experience as an educator in Azle ISD, with 13 years in campus administration and he is currently in his sixth year as a district administrator. During his tenure in public education, Smith taught agricultural science at the high school level, served as a high school assistant principal, an elementary principal, district director of operations, and the district’s assistant superintendent.
He earned his Bachelor of Science and Master’s in Educational Administration from Tarleton State University and holds various certifications including superintendent certification and mid-management certification. He is also a member of many professional and community organizations.
He lives in the area with his wife, Shannon. They have two sons who both graduated from Azle High School – Zack in 2008 and Kleg in 2016, and two grandchildren, Madelyn and Barrett.
