Miss Bethany De Vore

Welcome families and friends to our classroom!

My name is Bethany De Vore and I am your child's 2nd Grade teacher for the 2021-2022 school year. I graduated from the University of North Texas with a bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies specializing in English Second Language and Deaf Education. I am looking forward to spending a great year together as we learn, grow, and succeed in all we aspire to do!

Teaching Philosophy: In my classroom, I utilize Whole Brain Teaching and work with students to take ownership of their learning, think critically, and
new knowledge in the classroom. I will actively aspire to keep the integrity of education and the thrill of learning something new in my classroom! I believe that every day will be an opportunity to learn something new about ourselves, each other, and the great big world around us!

My conference time is from 1-2 p.m. The fastest way to reach me is through email. Please feel free to utilize this mode of communication.

  • My child's mode of transportation is changing, what do I do?

    Posted by:

For any transportation change (long or short term), please call the front office and let them know that your child will be traveling home a different way than usual! This way we can ensure that your child is safely delivered to the correct location for dismissal.

  • I want to keep up with how my child is doing in class. How can I do this?

    Posted by:

Parents will always have access to their students grade progress through Ascender (ParentPortal)! Outside of this, please contact me with any questions you may have about your child's progression during the year. I will be sending updates to individual families as we meet milestones throughout the school year.
