I am so excited to be continuing my second career here at Azle High School in the CTE Department. I have 40 years of experience in many aspects of healthcare. I have worked as a pharmacy technician, in several physician offices, scheduled surgery for what were, at the time, the only 2 pediatric surgeons in a 300 mile radius. That job led me into my career as a Radiologic Technologist, specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging, or MRI. This is my second year of teaching so I finally have a little bit of experience at that as well! I am nationally certified in both RT and MRI, as well as CPR. All of my experience puts me in a unique position to not only be able to teach Health Science Technologies, but also share my perspective on actually working and having a career in the healthcare field. It's an extremely rewarding field, and I've treasured all my interactions with my patients and my colleagues. I look forward to sharing all of this with my students this year!
