How to Do Business with Azle ISD
The Purchasing Office is in the Business Department within Azle ISD. Purchasing is responsible for the oversight and acquisition of goods, services, construction, and professional services requested by the district's schools and departments. It operates within federal law, school board policies, and sound business practices.
Business Hours and Contact Information
Vendors may visit the Purchasing Office from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. The Purchasing Office is located in the Azle ISD Administration Building at 300 Roe Street. Feel free to contact the Purchasing Office at 817-444-0805 with any questions.
Azle ISD eBid System
RegistrationVendors wishing to do business with Azle ISD are encouraged to register online using the Azle ISD eBid system. Registering your firm will allow the Purchasing Department to process and catalog information about your firm and the goods and services you provide to Azle ISD. Generally, vendors will then be notified when Azle ISD requires those types of goods and services. There is no charge to register. Registration is done through Ionwave.
It is understood that all bid notifications will be sent to the e-mail address supplied by the vendor; therefore, in the event of an e-mail address change or ISP change, it is imperative that the vendor information is kept current.
Competitive Bid LawThe Azle Independent School District, as well as all other school districts in the State of Texas, is governed by the State Competitive Bid Law. Therefore, the majority of our purchasing is done via competitive bids. The purpose and intent of the competitive bidding process is to help public schools obtain the best products at the lowest practical prices in the best interest of the taxpayers by stimulation competition. Other avenues of purchasing goods and services are made possible through various local and state purchasing cooperatives.
