Hello, I am Steve Stutsman. I am a police officer with the Azle ISD Police Department, and also the Criminal Justice teacher.

A little about me: I was born and raised in Indiana and graduated from high school way back in 1976. Right after graduation, I joined the U.S. Air Force and spent the next 16 years stationed in some great places, and truly did get to see the world. In 1992, after the end of the Cold War, I left the Air Force due to the military drawdown that took place at that time. I then completed my military career in the U.S. Navy Reserve and was called back to active duty several times after 9-11. I retired in 2004, with just over 24 years of total military service.

After leaving the Air Force, I joined the Azle Police Department. Over my career, I acquired many certifications and training, and also the knowledge that goes with being a patrol officer for many years. At the time of my retirement from the Azle P.D., I was the Criminal Investigations Division Sergeant. I was with the Azle Police Department for 27 years. I take great pride in that I served both my Nation and the citizens of Azle, with honor, duty, and commitment. I now bring that same commitment and pride to the Azle ISD, and my students.

I am married to Carla Noah Stutsman, and between us, we have six children and 12 grandchildren. I am a photographer and love the outdoors.
