Mrs. Nancy Brann

Santo J. Forte Junior High Counselor

Hello, I am Nancy Brann, and I am excited to meet each of you this year. I am starting my 16 year in education with Azle ISD.  This is my seventh year as a counselor at Santo J. Forte. I earned my undergraduate degree from Texas Christian University and my masters in counseling education from Lamar University.

I worked in retail management for nearly eight years before becoming a full-time mom. As my daughters grew older, I spent the majority of my day volunteering and working as a substitute teacher. This lead me to obtain my teaching certificates in K-4, special education, and ESL. I worked at Hoover Elementary for eight years teaching in special services. My next step is where I am now, school counselor. I love working with junior high students.

My husband and I moved to Azle several years ago and we are excited to be a part of this community. We have two grown daughters, Hillary, who is a 4th-grade teacher at Silver Creek Elementary, and Kacie, who works in the field of physical therapy in Fort Worth.

I love to spend my free time traveling, visiting with family and friends, working to make my yard look nice, and decorating. I am a TCU Horned Frog fan and attend a number of events on campus. I enjoy being a counselor and have a passion for helping students be the best they can be.
