    NCA Elite team

It hasn't been since 2004 that Azle Cheer has competed at Nationals in the Performance Division. The team did a great job and learned a lot from the experience. Though they did not place at the top, they did get inspired by the level of competition that the National competition brings.

  •  2018 UIL State Spirit Competition

Azle Coed made history Friday by being the only team in Texas that has medaled all three years in the UIL State Spirit Coed Division. They were titled as State Runner-Up earning themselves a Silver medal.

Azle Cheer And Hornet Muscle are 2X UIL State Medalist

    UIL Large COED STate Runner-Up

Azle Cheer competed in the UIL State Competition and received the Silver medal in 5A/6A Large Coed Division. Azle was one of three 5A schools in the division and the only 5A school to place. The team executed an almost perfect routine, but was edged out of the gold from Lewisville High School, which placed 5th last year. Coach McPherson could not be more proud of the team and their heart for the sport of cheer. Their performance on the mat and their sportsmanship off the mat set them apart from other teams. It was a joy to watch the Azle team congratulate, wish teams good luck, and take the first initiative to meet other teams. Their true sportsmanship shined and they represented AHS in the most honorable fashion at the competition!

Azle Cheer will have a rematch with Lewisville at the UCA National competition in February. THe team will be working hard to bring home the National Title!
