Hello Liberty Parent(s)/ Guardian(s),
I'm the School Nurse at Liberty and just go by Nurse Shawna since my last name is difficult to say. :) I've been a Nurse since 2006 and the 2021-2022 school year is my seventh year working at Liberty. You will find a ton of resources and information about illnesses, district policies, health service forms (including medication forms), school healthcare protocols (the rules I have to follow when determining to send a student home or not), and immunization requirements under the "Health Services" tab located on the left side of this page.
We are considered a Peanut-aware campus. This means that students are allowed to bring peanut products to school but our school does not serve peanut products. If you have a concern about your child's peanut/ nut allergy, please speak with me personally so we can address your concerns.
If you would like to join my remind group (recommended if your student takes medications at school) please text @libertyrn to 81010. This is a great option to communicate with me via text when you are at work and are unable to answer your phone.
