Rachel's Challenge

Celebration of Kindness and Compassion

On Thursday, May 22, 2014  at their “Celebration of Kindness and Compassion” students at Liberty Elementary celebrated the success of 20 service projects done throughout  the school year that benefited over 1000 people.  Students also celebrated the acts of kindness and compassion they showed to fellow students and staff at Liberty since their Rachel’s Challenge kick off in September.  The students created a chain to represent the acts of kindness and compassion that occurred on campus this school year.  The chain was so long that Principal, Kella Rogers, had to go out the back door of the cafeteria, around the outside of the cafeteria, and back in the side door before she reached the end of the chain.  Fourth graders at Liberty performed songs in celebration of being kind and making a difference in the world.  Principal, Kella Rogers, and Counselor, Shelley Newton,  praised students and staff for their efforts.
