Texas Bluebonnet Award Nominees and Texas 2X2 Book Lists

Our library supports the Texas Bluebonnet Award Nominees each year.  Any third or fourth grade student who reads five or more books from this list of twenty nominees will be eligible to participate in the vote for this year's winning book in January of 2013.  The winner is announced in April at the TLA conference.

We also support the Texas 2X2 List.  These twenty books are chosen for emerging readers from 2 years old to second grade.  They are a great choice for sharing with a young child any time of the day!

The Silver Creek Library is open from 8:40 until 2:55 every school day.  We are closed from 11:35 until 1:00 for lunch and duties.  The students have a 25 minute scheduled library time each week and are allowed to come to the library to exchange books during flex times with their teacher's permission.
