Welcome to the Counseling Page! I hope you can use this page to find helpful resources.
My name is Brenda Klemanchuck and this is my first year at the ROCK School as Counselor! I am so excited to work with the students and families at the ROCK! I received my master’s degree from UNT in counseling in 2003 while I worked for Communities In Schools as a Campus Manager for 7 years. In 2008 accepted a Transition Specialist position and spent 5 years providing career counseling for students in special education. I have spent 9 years in high school/middle schools and 4 years in elementary schools. I have had the privilege of working with students from all types of backgrounds and abilities. In the summers I have worked with Upward Bound Math and Science at UNT as the counseling supervisor. All of these experiences have led to this opportunity to serve the students at the ROCK!
I am originally from Colorado, but have spent most of my time in north Texas. I recently got married and moved to this area! I have been blessed with opportunities to travel to China, India, Kenya, and parts of Europe so I enjoy sharing with students about how others students live around the world.
I count it a high honor to be working with you and your child. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have for your child. I will add helpful websites throughout the year, so come back and visit this page. I look forward to getting to know you!
