What a Communities In Schools Social Worker can do for You and Your Child I can help you and your child obtain needed resources (such as, school supplies, clothing, food, and shelter etc). I can also assist with any other issues your child may be having in and outside of the classroom. I have worked with students in helping to improve academic skills, self-esteem, social skills, friendship skills, and behavior issues.
Lunch Groups I can address any issues your child may be having on an individual basis or in a group setting. I do offer lunch groups weekly in which I meet with a small group of students to address any of the above issues/concerns. Groups only meet during lunch time to ensure your child does not miss instructional time in the classroom.
Referring Your Child to the Program If you feel your child would benefit from being in a lunch group or from being enrolled in Communities In Schools, you may email me, call me, or speak to me directly to enroll them in the program. Contact me, Azle Elementary's CIS Social Worker, Staci Ward, at 817-444-1312 or email me at sward@azleisd.net. |
